Elecraft support said that situation is indicative of a failure in the output stage, and my KX2 is currently back at elecraft for repair. I sent it back in early March. I will update my reflector thread with the outcome of the repair, so watch this list for details. I never use 80 on that radio, so I’m not sure if the issue existed there, unfortunately.
