I’ve been using the AX1 for my SOTA activations. Lovely job, but I’ve made a slight mod to make it easier.
All I’ve done is make a small loop in the end of the counterpoise wire so that I can peg it out. It’s just big enough for the peg to fit though, and is then wrapped a couple of times and held in place with yellow shrink wrap (to make the end more visible).
