While your KX3 with the Ni-MH batteries installed is ON with an external power supply, tap DISP and rotate the OFS/VFO B nobl to find BT voltage. This lets you know the battery voltage. My KX3 with fully charged Ni-MH batteries shows “BT 10.7V”. It should be more than 8V with new Ni-MH batteries. If your KX3 shows very low voltage, something in your battery holder is wrong. First thing to check is battery direction in the holder.
