Paul, The Astron is a real workhorse and a keeper if in good shape. If you must go light/small and are just powering the KX3, I would point you to Howie’s (ProAudio Engineering Kx33) power brick. It is nominally a 4A supply in same form as the laptop power supplies. Mine is quiet and a solid performer. That being said, I have the Powerwerx unit as well, not bad, but mine does create some low level RFI and fan noise both of which can be dealt with. If you are hooking up more than one piece of gear like the PX3 and other “stuff”, keep the Astron. Jack - KD4IZ
