My beautiful bride of 44 years is encouraging me to upgrade my shack to an Elecraft KX3. (Seriously, she is the one who brought it up!) At the same time I will be reducing the footprint of all of my accumulated gear including my ancient, but still working, Astron RS-35A power supply. Elecraft offers a little switcher made by Powerwerx for $119, and for convince I might just go ahead and add that to my KX3 order, but I thought that I would first ask if any of you have other (better? less expensive?) suggestions for a switching power supply to run the KX3 on? BTW, I’m strictly a QRP/CW op so there will be no future plans for an amplifier.
