I have been using a couple of "things"...

First see: https://www.amazon.com/Coghlans-Camp-Laundry-Reel-21-Foot/dp/B001QBZM4Q/ref=sr_1_29?crid=3GJ5K4I006OGB&keywords=camping+clothesline&qid=1640011049&sprefix=camping+clothesline%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-29 as a wire winder.

I use 24ga Teflon wire.  The copper strands are silver plated, with a banana plug attached.  I have been using the winder + Teflon wire for many years.  Works great.

For my 135' ladderline fed dipole, I use 24ga silver plated wire that is (I think) nylon coated.  I picked it out of the "junk box" (trash) at work YEARS ago.  The closest replacement would be Teflon wire.  The silver plating makes for GREAT conduction.

Otherwise, I would use Wireman stealth wire either 26ga or 18ga.

Ok, quick question for all you portable geeks.  I am running the Wayne style end fed random wire thrown over a tree.  Using AWG 14 but need a smaller wire.  Anyone have a favorite wire you use for the Ant and Ground Plane?  Rugged, straightens nice etc.?
