I was using the Coghlan’s laundy reels, but it took a long time to wind up the wire, they would bind (not smooth turning), and would pop open when dropped.
Now I use the Midi Winders from SOTAbeams. Wind the wire on in a figue-8, no kinks and quck to get on and off. SOTAbeams makes three sizes. The Midi Winders are the same length as my KX3. https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/midi-winders/ wunder K6WRU Walter Underwood CM87wj http://observer.wunderwood.org/ (my blog) > On Dec 20, 2021, at 6:48 AM, email <em...@nr3i.org> wrote: > > I have been using a couple of "things"... > > First see: > https://www.amazon.com/Coghlans-Camp-Laundry-Reel-21-Foot/dp/B001QBZM4Q/ref=sr_1_29?crid=3GJ5K4I006OGB&keywords=camping+clothesline&qid=1640011049&sprefix=camping+clothesline%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-29 > as a wire winder. > > I use 24ga Teflon wire.
