K4 release 28 has now moved from Beta to Production status. I hope everyone
will take advantage of its many improvements. Among these are:
- DVR record/play (total of eight voice messages of up to 90 seconds each)
- new backup/restore function
- higher audio output over all AGC threshold/slope settings
- S-meter now 6 dB per S-unit
Here's a brief preview of what's up next:
- dramatically improved speech processing using CESSB
(controlled-envelope SSB -- kudos to W9GR)
- balance control to set left/right audio mix
- CW filters with much steeper skirts at 50/100/150/200 Hz
- squelch usable in all modes (per-band/per-receiver)
