Concerning Mr. Sherwood's famous receiver chart ... he clearly states
in several ways in several places ANY of the top twenty radios on the
list are ALL good enough and no one should select a particular radio
based on the single sorting factor of third order intercept dynamic
range. He begins every public lecture on receivers with a clear
statement one should select a rig based on all all salient factors,
including, but not limited to, appearance, ergonomics, feature list,
functional procedure, and etc. For some time, Gigaparts wrongly
advertised the FTdx101d claiming Sherwood said it was the best receiver
... and he never said that! Mr. Sherwood goes out of his way to advise
against buying any radio on a single factor. K8JHR
