The only reason I can think of why this might apply is if the grounding of the bottom cover was poor. Whilst it certainly can be poor, because of paint not having been properly masked around the mounting blocks, and I recommend cleaning all paint off, around them, I'd be surprised if enough of the induced currents, in the bottom panel, flowed through these points to make a difference.
