I'm installing a new but old KXV3A board into the J66 block. The instructions say the pins should just clear the top of J66 when the BNC connectors are up against the top of the back panel opening. I am not seeing a way to orient the board such that the pins clear the block. The pins seem to be just a bit too long. This board was purchased back in 2011. It is revision A.
I'll call Elecraft in the morning, but thought I'd try the brain trust here to see if I can complete this project tonight. No hurry, grin. It feels like I should be able to do this, but I'm just not seeing it. I'm tempted to cut the ends of the pins about 1 mm, but will wait till I talk to Elecraft. I have an updated board on order, but thought I'd just put the old board in and see if I can get my P3 running. Thanks for any thoughts! (This is a second post, it seemed the first did not go through). 73 Rich NU6T ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
