Hello again all,
in an effort to find out why the ATU reports this 24:1 SWR thing on batteries,
I did the automatic xmit calibration from the Utility program and got.......
The first round was set at 4 watts, as it says, the second 6 watts.
>Power supply during transmit was 13.8V with 4 amps available?<

"OS Version 10.0 Build 19045
KX3 MCU version 03.02 on COM5 at 19200 bit/s
Calibrating at 1.900 MHz
Elapsed time: 12 seconds
TX Gain calibration failed because transmit power did not reach the expected
value
5 watt calibration failed
Elapsed time: 12 seconds"

Then I did it using the manual method and got......
d-084 Err TXG on 160M.
d-085 Err TNG on 10M

The power knob takes it to 15 watts, per a firmware upgrade a long time ago,
but it only puts out a maximum of 10 watts into a dummy load??

Any info appreciated.
Ken, W2GIW
