Good Evening,
It was a fairly normal week in mid-February. Some fog, some rain, a
little sunshine, and now a forecast of snow. There are more birds
around. More wood peckers and creepers seeking bark embedded insects.
Gray jays drop from the trees when I feed them but the Steller's jays
are absent.
Last week's large sunspot group has passed beyond the limb of the sun.
We may see it again. Currently the sunspot number is 50. The lowest
I've seen in a long while. Solar flux is still above 100 so there are
ions flowing at us. The auroral oval is large. I expect a variety of
QSB from these indicators. Hissing too.
