Seems to be time to GIVE IT A REST. No one is going to solve the ROHS world, or the MIL SPEC world, of the METRIC for U.S. world either. These things come and go.
When they figure out how to remove the LEAD/ACID battery from all of our millions of automobiles - then I'll start to be concerned. How about the lead balancing weights on your tires? Lead sinkers? Lead bullets in Iraq and Tazmania? Lead battery terminals? ........... Leaded windows in our churches? Linotype lead in those old european & russian printing plants?
