Wow !!!
Don, you are great my friend.
Problem solved in less than 1 minute, from question to resolution.
Looks like I changed the sidetone setup by mistake.
Many thanks

PS. I've to start with my KAT100 kit, some others like XV-144 are already in
the box. Some work for the future

Subject: RE: [Elecraft] KIO 2 Not operating
Alex,
Do NOT do a Master Reset - it is not likely to fix your problem and will
only serve to set all your menu settings (including the CAL PLL and CAL
FIL
entries) back to the factory defaults - you will have a lot of work to do
unless you record all your settings first.
Do you still have a sidetone?
You may have toggled the sidetone source in the menu which would try to
make
the microprocessor pin 25 as the sidetone source instead of the TXD
signal.
Enter the Menu, and edit the STL parameter, then tap DISPLAY until you
hear
the sidetone. Once you can hear the sidetone, then re-test the KIO2
serial
data transmission.

I'm looking for some regrding KIO2 not operating.
I installed KIO2 option in my K2 s/n 4091 several months ago and
it worked perfectly. I've just finish the K100 power amplifier in
aseparate enclosure EC and inconection with K2 works peerfectly
as well, but now my KIO 2 doesn't work at all.
What I've check is ok, cable ok, KIO 2 operation Ok, but if I
send the test from K2 ( Display key when Port on in Menu, ) no
signal can be seen in pin 25 of the main microcontroler MCU of
the K2. I've made the meaure with an oscilloscope, and looks like
the microcontroller is not operatring the serial signal.
I've turn off and on the Port menu of K2, and it doenst work.
All the other functions in K2 and the 100 watts amplifier works
perfectlly, but not the serial controller.
Before I made a full reset, there is any idea on what's the issue?
