Kathy, I am building a K1 here too and just stumbled across this same problem. It seems like the silk-screen does not stick on the new ROHS compliant boards (or something like that - the flats used to be in the silkscreen).
Put the flat side toward the back of the K1 board - if you have any doubts obaut orientation and need a 'picture' there is the component placement drawing in the back of the manual. 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > > I am unclear on the correct orientation of C13 and C20.
