But in fairness, the SBE-33 and -34 were primarily intended for mobile 
operation, and few who care about the quality and safety of their driving would 
use a Morse key while behind the wheel.  (But then, I don't think that 
microphone use while driving is prudent either...drive now, talk or key later!) 
 

Besides, the SBE rigs had an official external adapter that enabled Morse 
operation, even though full band coverage down to the CW sub-band wasn't 
provided.  It took me years to find one for my SBE-34.
