Hi While waiting for the replacement of inductor L5 on the RF board, I decided to try the alignment and test part II up to where it would be efected by the missing inductor. When starting I found that the frequency counter had stopped working. It was working fine up until that point. I took the front panel and control board off to check for cold solder joints. I didn't find any but re-soldered the connectors that join the two boards. When re-assembling the K2 and powering, up the display started to malfunction. All it will do when powered up is to display the number 8 in all digits with the annumciators underneath. The front panel and control board had been working fine up until this point. I checked for solder joints on the connectors that I re-soldered and found none. I don't see how trying to do the part two alignment without the inductor L5 installed would cause this, but I've been wrong before. Has anyone ever had a problem like this before, and if so how did you solve it? Thanks for any information. Scott N5SM
