Thanks Don comming back to me

Really there are no version. Heil Traveler headset should be a clear setup regarding mic. You can not select the element used there. It is what they call a IC element on all of them with no exception.

So i got the 8 pin Kenwood adapter with the belive that i could open the connector and add a foot switch. But as mentioned in first mail the conector was over-molded

But if you belive that they will provide me with a drawings over the pin out of there product at Heil, I will for sure try to send a mail.

Subject: RE: [Elecraft] Heil Traveler Dual Side headset with K2

BR,

The answer all depends on which version of the Heil mic you purchased and
which adapter you purchased with it.

Hiel builds mics with several types of elements, and those that are intended for use with the Icom (iC suffix) usually work well with the K2, but do need a resistor from the +5 volt line to another pin on the mic jack (usually the AF pin). The adapter type you purchased will determine how you are to wire
the K2 mic configuration header - i.e. if you purchased the adapter for
Kenwood, wire the mic configuration header as shown in the KSB2 manual for
Kenwood, if you purchased the Icom adapter, use the Icom configuration, etc.

If you do not know the mic element type so you can answer the resistor
question, contact Heilsound mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - tell them the full
mike designation number, your adapter number and that you will be using it
with a K2 - you should receive an informed answer.

I have got my self a =raveler Dual Side headset from Heil. Now there
have been=a lot of talk about Heil headset and the =2 here and I
was there for hoping that some one might have exp=rience with
   this Headset as well.

Hav= e any one had success in using this headset with
K2< /st1:place>. Here i am mainly thinking on the mic. The
element here
is= a IC designed to my understanding to give more output then the
HC-4 a=nd HC-5. That gave me the believe that this will work well
with K2 not havi=g the issues of not being able to drive the K2.

So =I have hook up the thing to the best of my understanding. That
was a little=hard work as either I have been non successful in
finding the connection d=agram or pin out for the Headset on Heil
homepage. So I have reversed engi=eered the adapter cable that I did
buy for Kenwood. The price was a connec=or as Heil, either in the
believe that moisture one day will kill the conn=ctions in the
adapter cable connector or to hide the connections, have ove=-molded
   the hole thing.

Now=he up, Down and PPT are working, but I have no audio. <=SPAN>

Wha=t would be good to know are the pin-out of the connector on the
headset (no=t the adapter cable), and if any one are using this
headset and if they had=o make modifications to the Audio path to
   make it work.
