Hi Tim,
I use the Simplex America Model SEC 1223 on all the K2/K2100's I build with no problems at all. Handles max current no problem and I have yet to hear any hash generated by the supply in the K2 receiver. Cheap, light weight and small foot print. It's a very good choice.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2's and switching power supplies

Hi folks -
I would like to know what experiences anyone has had using switching power supplies within close proximity of a K2 or K2-100. I'm considering building a fifth K2 (keep selling the dang things to people that don't build) and am toying with the idea of making up a portable module that would include a switching power supply. Thanks in advance. 73/Tim NZ7C
