I have a Hakko 493 and I'm quite pleased with it, although I don't use it as often as I probably should.
It's quiet and does not take up a lot of space. I got mine surplus for a fraction of the new price. I am WAY too cheap to pay street for such a gizmo ... but then again, it's not a necessity for me. I'd really also like a Hakko 808 but that will wait, too ...
