Thanks Don. I have checked both the 17m antenna (2 el quad) and the 30m antenna (6BTV) on another radio, and they are both working fine.
I have the K2/100 with the 160m, DSP, and NB options and do not have the KAT100. 73 de Chris, N4CJ (G4BUE) On 21 Jan 2007 at 13:01, Don Wilhelm wrote: > Chris, > > You are correct, there is nothing unique to 30 meters and 17 meters. > Are > you certain your antenna is still OK? > > If you have the KAT100, that could have some problem with the > inductance and > capitance selected during tuning that is giving the appearance of a > weak > received signal. > > We really need more data to give a better answer. > > 73, > Don W3FPR > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > I am puzzled as to why my K2/100 has lost most of its sensitivity > on > > 17 and 30m. > > > > It is the K2/100 I use at my Florida QTH and when I returned from > a > > visit of a few months to the UK, I found it has lost most of its > > sensitivity on 17 and 20m.
