As we grow older, many of us suffer loss of hearing. I'm only 60,
yet am having trouble hearing others speak in noisy environments,
also if they don't annunciate or slur their words.
My biggest problem though is the limited bandwidth of the K2 SSB in
it's widest position. It has come to the point that I cannot engage
in casual conversation without asking for a lot of repeats.
Obviously, I am a candidate for a hearing-aid.
I don't have this problem listening to AM broadcast, certainly no
candidate for "ultra" Hi-Fidelity. It goes without saying I also
have no problem with FM or TV. The people on the air speak clearly
and even with 5 KHz audio I have no problems.
Is there any way to broaden out the bandpass to 3 KHz? I think it
might help me a lot and many others too.
