I've had the same conclusion with my FT-897 vs. KX1 on 80M. I too love
the Yaesu as my amazing "shack-in-a-box", but have found the kx1 beats
it hands down when trying to dig that elusive fox out its den.
Once I work my way through a pile of small qrp kits awaiting me, I
intend on tackling the K2.
