while QSK is a barely adequate 22 wpm or so in normal mode, it sure seems a lot slower in split mode. At a common place 28 wpm, there is no hearing between letters, only between words, meaning it is hard to quickly pick up that a DX station is sending, and listen in time to hear who he is answering.
