Thanks for all of the good advice! The readers and contributers to this reflector are a great resource and a wealth of good information. I think I discovered the problem, and it is rather simple. For some reason I had reversed some of the 1SV149 diodes, specifically D30, D31, D32, D33, and D29. Kind of a bonehead thing to do, not sure how it happened. I have a theory . . . . after I stuff the board with a qty of components, I use blue masking tape to secure the parts prior to flipping the board over (in my pc board holder) and soldering. These could have fallen out, and I was careless sticking them back in prior to soldering. Or . . . I could have just stuck the little buggers in the wrong way in the first place! You have to pay attention to those thin TO-92 packages. Anyway . . . pulled a lead off of one when removing it so will order a couple more and see how it works.

Thanks again for your help.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 no receive . . . where to start?

Finishing up K2 6042 today. Have fine output on all bands, but no receive! I did use another HF rig to create signal for alignment . . . and I did hear that. I can also hear SPOT, so think amp is okay. But nothing from antenna. For reference, I connected my K1 to same antenna and receive was fine. I checked voltage at anode of D6 on the K2 and it is fine. Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Thanks and 73,
Mike
