I was surprised the first time I transmitted SSB on my K2. I had gotten
used to the TS570DG with tx/rx equalizers and sidetone. I was surprised
not to hear my voice in the headset. Anything like this with the K3?
You hear the output of the TX IF downconverted to audio in the K3. The
level is set form the front panel by pressing and HOLDing the OUT/PWR
encoder (labeled MON in yellow). So, you hear the effects of the Tx EQ
and bandwidth setting, compression and ALC.
The same control sets the sidetone volume in CW Tx.
