Good Evening Folks,
I am sitting in a hotel room in Joplin, Missouri tonight after having
experienced a very enjoyable weekend. Somehow or another I seem to have met
dozens of folks who have checked into the Elecraft CW Net. I can't list all
the names because: 1) I am dead tired and brain dead, 2) the list is longer
than my feeble brain can handle, and 3) I have met so many nice people this
weekend I can't keep straight who has and who has not checked in. I know,
simply excuses for a bad memory (Mea culpa!) However, if you ever get a chance
to go (come?) to OzarkCom please make the effort. These folks will show you a
very good time. But Doug Hendricks may wind up with more of your money than
you had intended to spend :)
I digress, as Tom left this afternoon he promised he would run the nets
tomorrow afternoon from his home in the middle of Missouri. I may be back in
Oklahoma City in time to check into the 40 meter net but I am not yet sure of
that. We (Sam, KL7V, Marijo, and I) are going to see a few sights in the
Ozarks before we leave Missouri on our way home. Hopefully the trip and the
propagation will allow me to check in. If I need a relay could I please get
one of you folks to help? I'll send an "O" to get Tom's attention but he may
be too close (or he just may be having too much fun to recognize me :) I'll be
home for next Sunday so we can get back to our normal routine. I surely had
fun though. Getting to meet Jeri (Tom's wife) was even better than meeting Tom
himself. I can tell she's been a good influence on him ;)
As ever have fun on the net and I'll be there if I can.
