A couple of nice changes to the iron from Circuit Specialists is the addition of a power-on light and they moved the on/off switch to the front. I have the Hakko and find it a pain to have the switch on the side.

        Below is a clone of the Hakko 936 for $34.95.
I used one to build my K2, ATS-2 (SMD), ATS-3 (SMD), ZM-2
and various other things.  Indeed it is an exact clone
of the Hakko, has the same circuit diagram, same pc
board layout and uses the same tips.  It may actually
be made by the same manufacturer (Chinese) Hakko uses.
