Rob -

For the same amount of money you can buy on eBay or via mail order the quality Hakko 936-12 soldering station or the Weller WES51 for about same price!!

Please do not get "suckered" by the import con game.

1. Sorry we don't carry tips.
2. We will throw in some useless solder that has far too much flux
3. Grounded tips? ESD compliant?
4. Service - that is non-existent - you purchased from an eBay seller with no service stock. 4. Heater goes bad in your iron --- throw away and buy a new iron (same problem as Solomon stations)
5. Quality - this English word does not translate to the mfg.'s language

Reminds me of early 1960s when Japan was the big exporter -- in early 1960s term was 'Japanese junk' -- it took less than a decade for that to change.

IF you want a BARGAIN, why don't you tell me what you want.
I usually have at least 10 'repaired' or 'refurbished stations at any one time.

DIY repairs -- go to BAMA, I have posted the Weller Tech Sheets from my library.

Subject: [Elecraft] Anyone using this solder station?

I recently found a solder station on eBay. This is the link.
Has anyone tried one of these?
