Not all displays are created equal... Can the "attractive" displays be read in
direct sunlight?
I have a TS-480 and the yellow/orange/black display is very pleasant and can be
read in any lighting.

Must be a fire sale on these displays. They are
not attractive IMHO. Kenwood has had their
share of these displays too. Look at the display
on the IC-7000 - at least it is attractive, if
small.
