What is the KUSB option for the K3? I couldn't find much about it on the website. Is it supported on the K2? Is it a separate box? Does it plug into the existing RS-232 Seriel port? I'm trying to make do with my existing Pentium II laptop as I add the K2 to the shack. My USB 1.0 port has a hub to which a printer, disc drive, and RigBlaster is attache. The serial port is connected to a FT-1000 MP Mark V primarily for logging purposes. Since I only use one rig at a time (for logging), I thought to use a RS-232 switch between the two vs. another serial port (which would have to go through the USB hum I have). While the switch isn't elegant, it sure is simple. Can anyone see any problem with my proposed approach to interfacing two rigs to the shack computer?
