You're right, though since the K3 is modular assembly I doubt if you'll see the kind of questions and answers the true kits generated. As someone with 3 or 4 weeks still to wait for delivery, I was really looking forward to reading the experiences of those who received the initial K3s. That hasn't happened - only one new owner has posted.
The real difference, I think, is that the K3 appeals to those whose main interest is in *operating* and not building. Those guys are interested in different things. I also think this will tip the balance toward QRO instead of QRP.
