He is a thing for people to do if there is a problem with any electronics getting wet.
I do model war ships that are designed to sink. What we do when the electronics get wet is, Open the unit, "unplug and remove battery's" With a squirt bottle, douse the circuit board with rubbing alcohol. The alcohol with displace the water from the board. Drain the alcohol and let the remainder evaporate. When there is no trace of alcohol moisture present, the system is safe to use. I have used this on many electronics systems and has worked perfect each time with no corrosion on the board. Unfortunately, the Jitney leaks a bit, and as the day went by more and more water was accumulating here and there and one drip was landing unnoticed on the low-band station K2. It started acting very weirdly as you can imagine. We opened it up and propped it against the dash with the A/C running + heat, and by the next stop not only was it working much better but the overall gain seemed to increase quite a bit! de w1rt/john On 10/22/07, Darwin, Keith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Oh, Dom this is priceless!!
