This is already discussed in the FAQ. AM RX is OK with the FM filter.
You can also copy AM through an SSB filter in SSB mode; the K3 is
extremely frequency stable and opposite-sideband rejection very high.
You can optionally use the RX EQ menu entry to cut the bass frequencies
near the carrier, if desired, or use I.F. shift.
