Oliver, Here is a link to the pelican case I bought for my K2: http://www.boss-safety.com/shop/medium-cases-1510-series-c-532_480_499_506.h tml?gclid=CPL80se76o8CFRQyZAodlDV3Kg This was one of the lower prices I found for this case. I bought it because it is airline friendly and with the "Lid Organizer" I was able to get a whole lot of stuff in there. I also made the KBT2 charging mod on Don Wilhelm's site: http://w3fpr.qrpradio.com for using the A & A Engineering Smart Charger to my K2. I am able to pack my K2, Smart Charger, HexKey, W1, Headphones, Palm Paddle, and all kinds of support stuff (wire, connectors, BL2, DL1, meter etc.). I also bought an extra set of foam in case (no pun intended) that I would like to put my (future) K3 in there! Don is right - the K2 doesn't need to be "soft" handled, but I feel a lot better in making sure that it is protected in any travel situation I can think I would be involved in. I did pack mine as Don stated and if I get time after the holiday, I will post some pictures on my website of what it looks like. Good luck and 73, Dave W8FGU > If I take my precious k2 in my car, I'd like to have an alternative > to just throwing it bare into the back seat.
