Yep, you have it all wrong. Elecraft can ship K3s with a promise to deliver those features in the future. (1) Most of the 'features' you mentioned can be implemented in software, (2) none of the 'features' you mentioned are show-stoppers as far as my K3 order is concerned, and (3) Elecraft's past history of customer support remove any doubts in my mind about ordering a K3 at this time.
