Well, I am primarly an AM operator, and a new K3 would not even receive AM, and NOT A THING was said about all the stuff that does not work yet, why it is not working, has it ever worked, and how long is it going to be before everything the web page says the K3 will do, it can actualy do?
I cant say I am interested in FM, and since the filters are not avalable, I can understand why the FM would not work, but what has that got to do with AM and the other things? Dont people have a right to know about the missing features/modes and when they might actualy work? I directly asked how the AM reception was, and I got an answer it sounds great even on SSB, which may be the only way anyone ever listened to AM on the K3 for all I know. If I KNEW there were going to be so many features that dont work, there would have been no reason to sell my K2 and put a dpeosit down to get an early K3. There WAS a lot of talk about Elecraft not wanting to ship the K3 before it was ready, well, it dont seem like its ready.... I cancelled my K3 order on 11-26-2007 and got a response from Lisa, but got an invoice today, and not a word about getting my deposit back. I still plan on getting a K3, when all the basic features are working and I can get one real time. I have received plenty of mail off list, some nasty, some people were disapointed with the missing features, some complaining about my spelling (sorry).
