I can't make promises, but it has a very good chance of working well. Keyspan has a pretty good reputation. I have one here that I'm going to test with a couple of computers.
My experience has been that all USB adapters will work with some computers, and no USB adapters will work with all computers. My experience with serial ports is that they tend to be much more robust. I'm continuing to make improvements in USB to Serial Adapter error recovery which help with some marginal cases. I'll send another note after I've done my testing with a Sony Vaio laptop I have here as well as my desktop system.
