Even though I'm sure that design work for the K1 is pretty far from almost
everyone's mind...
I've got a new-to-me K1 (s/n 735) and it's got both 4-band (40/30/20/15) and 2-band (80/17) boards.
Those are pretty good combinations at a higher point in the solar cycle - but right now, I find that
40 dies in the early evening and I want to switch to 80. So I have to remove the KAT1 and band
module and swap and fiddle with the standoffs...
It sure would be nice to have a 4-band module that covers 80/40/30/20.
It also would be nice if those standoffs were threaded on one end - I'm probably going to make that
change.
Overall though, it's a really neat little radio!
