I went to bed Saturday night after staying up 30 minutes late to complete my K3. I sent an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] just before bed.
I woke up, cleaned up, turned on the computer and an answer was waiting for me. (Sunday morning !!). The radio is an absolute dream and here is why. On my other radios, the AGC is either opressive or off, no in between. When you decrease the RF gain, it may as well be the AF gain because everything goes away, noise and signal, usually signal in greater proportion to the noise. The K3 RF gain and AGC works like my OMNI VI+, properly. And of course, it is not fixed. ;-) de wb8yqj Be sure to clip all the longish leads on the Ksyn3 board, view with magnification and light before and after installing the board. I had one nearly invisible relay lead that I clipped but it did not fall away.
