Hi Dave, I'm interested to know if you were using speakers or a boom/headset. The later DSP radios, IC775 etc when I operated VOX I got a lot of false trips, but I don't use headsets. The best vox I've ever used was in the FT1000 with the vox modified for a certain voice range. Never false tripped.
