Group

I have now gotten three very negative replies suggesting elitism, etc. That was NOT my intention and I apologize for sounding like perhaps I was demanding that others move off. Not so.

I am only trying to volunteer my efforts to get a K3 user group going. Then, I thought it courteous to invite others to check in in order to facilitate other nets to get going. I will revise the wording of that statement in future announcements, when we determine frequencies, so it doesn't sound like others are rejected. It was poorly worded.

I meant no elitism !!!! I have utmost respect for anyone who builds such a sophisticated rig as the K2 from parts, or for that matter, anyone who has earned an amateur radio license PERIOD. Please forgive any misunderstanding and stop the flames.

I'm OK with calling it the Elecraft Users Group and see where it goes from there. Also, I'm not the boss. I offer it up to any suggestions.

Windy,

I've read and re-read your posting trying to get
some meaning that I've missed, but I can only
conclude that your suggestion that K2's users
are welcome to check in, but then are expected to move to another frequency is simply blatant snobbery. Jeeeze!.

Well, he calls it a K3 users group......I think we made the same mistake with the K3 forum and Wiki ... while the primary target users are K3 users.....both venues can be used by other types of Elecraft users.
