Not a bad choice - the DELL notebook, I mean!
For the other notebook brands and models there are still few PCMCIA cards
("Delock" PCMCIA serial adapter) available that have true hardware handshaking
like the hardware COM ports in the Latitudes.
I could obtain one (from yakoon.de, a WebShop) for an OM, who couldn't work
with the USB/Serial adapter due to the HW handshake issues, the PC card does a
good job.
