If you follow the thread ... the idea has been tossed about and tossed out ... and for good reason. They can't do it. Nope, cannot be done. The VOX icon is "burned" into the LCD, thus there is no way to change it. I did not understand the manufacturing process when I made the comment. I am not an engineer or a manufacturing process expert. So it is a moot point. Again, some of this is the learning curve of the radio, and once I learn the radio better, I will understand that when the VOX is not showing, I am in PTT. But, I reserve the right to suggest improvements that are part of my opinion. Sometimes on this list...dumb ideas are branded as dumb by guys who think they know all the answers. There are no dumb questions or dumb suggestions as the K3 evolves. Please, your opinion counts and so does mine...lets not minimize constructive (but maybe flawed) comments or ideas I felt this was something would enhance the rig...a small something. It just cannot be done. So, lets move on. Lee - K0WA In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.
