Michael...
I have the DSP unit on my #5957 K2. As you mention, it's excellent on
CW. I don't do much SSB, so there may be aspect/settings of the DSP with
that mode of which I am unaware. So, my comments should be read with that
in mind. For me, on SSB it's more of a hindrance than a help. It seems to
distort the sound to the point where searching for stations, especially in
a contest or a pileup is almost impossible. If I find a strong station in
the clear and then activate the DSP, I can fiddle with tunning and settings
so that I can understand the station, but even then it's only so-so. But,
obviously, that's not a typical situation. YMMV.

Hi all
I am thinking about adding the last option to my K2, the DSP. Currently I am
a SSB guy. Using also Digital modes there.
I know the DSP do great stuff on CW, but what about SSB. Do any of you have
an opinion you like to share on this. Is the DSP value for money on SSB.
Reason for asking are that I have DSP on my IC703, but hardly ever use it,
as the voice quality with DSP seems to make it harder to copy.
Thanks in advance
