Dear Jim and Leigh, Thank you very much for your fast and helpful replies! As you said the problem was with the paddle. After cleaning it and adjusting its tension, the problem faded away. I never had this problem with my usual keyer, and hence thought it could be something with the K1 MCU. Thank you once more! :D
