before - since I'd like to have a go, but I'm many hours ahead of you
and I forget.

I suggest that if you hear nobody on or around the frequency, find
the nearest clear spot and call it yourself. You don't commit
yourself to being net control, you just put the signal out to see if
anyone is lurking.
We were off to a good start a few weeks ago, but activity has faded.
I hope we can get active enough to at least maintain a meeting
point. If there isn't much interest, maybe we should go to one night
per week.
