This is crazy. Who would ever want to use a connector with all the "problems" and care and feeding of the APP's?
Something has gotten lost here. Imagine if you had to go endure all of this for the AC plugs on all your household appliances? Either the connector is no darn good or the problems reported here are greatly exaggerated. The function is of a connector is to plug it in and forget about.
