Can't agree with you more Dave, I am into telescopes as well as ham radio, and there is a high end manufacturer of telescopes named Astro-Physics (www.astro-physics.com) They have a waiting list that goes for 3 to 4 years! Anyway, their policy is if they catch someone doing the "scalp thing" the person is blacklisted and is not allowed to purchase any more items from the company. I think Elecraft should follow suit.
